About soulpurpose
soulpurpose is a small, independent reading site for young people in Aotearoa. We write about four things: music (gigs, bands, recording, the local scene), faith and meaning (big questions, explained without telling anyone what to believe), life (flats, pay, study, first jobs) and wellbeing.
What we are, and what we aren't
- We're an independent editorial site. We aren't connected with any church, denomination, school, charity, label or earlier publication, and we don't speak for any of them.
- We don't run events, take donations, sell anything or carry ads or tracking.
- We aren't a support or counselling service. When a topic gets heavy we point you to people who are, like 1737 and Youthline.
How we write
Posts come from the soulpurpose editors. We check facts against official and well-known sources and link to them so you can read further. Rules, rates and prices change, so for anything involving money, tenancy or work, the official page we link to is the final word.
