Parachute Band are the People’s Choice for 2008!

The Parachute Band, who are soon to release their next album, Technicolor, were surprise winners at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards in Auckland last night, taking away the People’s Choice Award. Over 100 artists were nominated for the award and the Parachute Band came out on top. The People’s Choice Award is the only Tui decided on by the voting public of New Zealand, so it’s a pretty big honour! With the boys away on tour in South Africa, Brendan Vucich, their label’s A&R guy, received the award at the ceremony last night.
