Delirious? builds medical centre with album profits
Last year Delirious? (yes, the question mark is officially a part of their moniker) released their final studio album, Kingdom of Comfort, focusing on inequality and injustice. Matching their words with actions, a portion of the profits from the release have now been used to aid a small community nestled in the centre of one of Mumbai’s red light districts. “After tears and emotion and the shock of seeing this stuff you need to dust yourself down and get a strategy, look at what’s in your hand and use it to help someone,” says lead vocalist Martin Smith. “So we made Kingdom of Comfort, we sold it to people that love our music and we built a medical centre in Prem Kiran, Mumbai with some of the money.”
Delirious? is also soon to release a live CD/DVD recorded in Colombia last year.
