Death Cab vocalist bitten by scorpion
Lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard, had a slight misunderstanding with a scorpion at a show in San Deigo last week, resulting in him being stung twice. Apparently the scorpion was claiming Gibbard’s “show pants” (as opposed to regular pants that average, non-rock-stars wear) as his own. When the singer went to don his stage outfit, he received a little, sharp surprise. According to bassist, Nick Harmer, writing on the band’s blog, “Ben’s okay, if not a little shaken, but we were worried for a while because the scorpion was a little guy and, when it comes to the wonderful world of scorpions, the smaller the deadlier.” Next week: Rihanna is eaten by a crocodile.
